NB Thunder Basketball is excited to announce tryouts for the 2024-25 season. Tryouts are open to all homeschooled students aged 9 to 18.

We will field seven teams this season. Five will be boys teams – Varsity, JV, 7th/8th Grade (14U), 6th/7th Grade (12U), and 9-to-10-year-olds (10U). For the girls, we will sponsor two teams, a 16U team for those is 9th through 11th grades, and 14U team for those in 7th through 9th grades.

Tryouts are determined by the athlete’s grade and age as of August 1, 2024. To participate this season, all players are required to tryout for their team. Please contact Coach James if you are not able to make your team’s allotted tryout time slot.

MS Boys Sept. 23 – 3-4:15

HS Boys Sept. 23 – 4:15 – 5:30

Age / Skill: What do I do if my athlete is too young, inexperienced, and or does not make a team? Don’t panic!! Each player brings different strengths to the table, just like in life. Each one of our coaches will have children not participating because of these reasons. If you are interested in continuing to play, there are many great options in and around town to keep a ball in their hands. We are happy to recommend leagues and even pair you up with other Thunder families who will be doing the same. As we grow our program, NB Thunder does plan to have more Skills Camps, Open Gyms, and teams in the future. We hope your family will be a part of this community in the years to come.
