Led by Head Coach Vinny Rodriguez and Assistant Coach Mariah Delgado, Friday night marked a major milestone for NB Thunder Varsity Softball as the program faced its first-ever public school opponent—and rose to the moment with a thrilling 5–4 victory at Wimberley ISD Sports Fields Complex.

In a statement performance, Sienna Eisenlohr dominated in the circle, striking out 11 batters and anchoring Thunder through a high-pressure matchup. Eisenlohr worked four and one-third innings, allowing six hits and four runs while shutting the door when it mattered most.

NB Thunder set the tone early, building momentum and a four-run advantage by the third inning. The program’s first run against public school competition came in the top of the second when Liberty Lega delivered a clutch single to put Thunder on the board.

The game tightened in the middle innings, but Thunder answered in championship fashion. With the score knotted late, Lu Kusenberger delivered a defining moment in program history—launching a solo home run in the top of the fifth to give NB Thunder the lead for good.

Kusenberger finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Ally Criddle, Ada Dillon, and Kusenberger each recorded two hits, powering the offense in a milestone win.

This victory represents a defining step forward for NB Thunder Softball—proving the program can compete and succeed against public school competition. A night that will be remembered in program history.
