NB Thunder JV Baseball Defeated Bracken Christian JV In Nail-Biter

Despite seeing their 5-run lead whittled down by the end, NB Thunder held on for a 6-4 victory on Tuesday. Bracken Christian JV closed the gap by scoring on a single, a ground out, and a single.

NB Thunder got on the board in the first inning after Coleston Posey grounded out, scoring one run. Sam Mooney scored on a wild pitch followed by a steal of home by Callum Haley which extended the Thunder lead to 3-0 in the top of the third inning.

Paul Steiner opened the game for the Thunder. He struck out three batters over four and one-third innings. Mooney appeared in relief.

Jasper Aunkst and Mooney each collected one hit for the Thunder. Posey and Aunkst each drove in one run. The Thunder had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Ely Royal, TK Slaughter, and Mooney led the team with two free passes each.

Noah Bilbrey, Haley, and Mooney each stole multiple bases as part of the 10 total steals for the team. NB Thunder were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Royal had the most chances in the field with five.
