NB Thunder Varsity Baseball Surges Past San Marcos Academy
NB Thunder Varsity Baseball exploded early, scoring nine runs in the first inning on their way to a commanding 15–0 victory over San Marcos Academy.
The Thunder offense came out aggressive, consistently putting the ball in play and running the bases hard. Declan Campbell, Sam Mooney, Noah Miller, and Jasper Aunkst each drove in runs with their bats to spark the early surge. Ely Royal added to the momentum with a double that brought in a run. Dawson Posey and Sam Mooney also contributed to the scoring effort after being hit by pitches and taking one for the team to keep the rally going.
On the mound, Dawson Posey earned the win for NB Thunder Varsity Baseball. The right-hander allowed just one hit over four shutout innings while striking out eight and walking two.
The Thunder lineup also showed patience at the plate, drawing 10 walks throughout the game. Once on base, the team applied constant pressure, with Declan Campbell and Evan Wanders each stealing multiple bases. In total, NB Thunder swiped eight bases and kept the defense on its heels all night.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAL
NB Thunder MS Teal Baseball earned a strong 17–4 win over Regents Knights B team, highlighted by a nine-run fourth inning that broke the game open. Thunder jumped out early in the first inning with RBIs from David Broussard, Mason Gatewood, Jakob Royal, and Jacob Gilbert, then added another run in the second before the big fourth-inning rally led by Roman Mireles and Soren Campbell, who drove in key runs. Jordan Jankowski started on the mound allowing just one hit and no earned runs, while Roman Mireles added a scoreless relief inning. At the plate, David Broussard led the team with three RBIs, Roman Mireles and Soren Campbell each collected two hits, and the Thunder offense showed patience by drawing 10 walks, while Jakob Royal added two stolen bases in another strong team performance.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BLACK
NB Thunder MS Black Baseball rolled to a 14–0 victory over Regents Knights A team led by Darion Gallo, who drove in four runs on two hits, including an inside-the-park grand slam in the second inning. Thunder got on the board early when Soren Campbell singled to score the first run and also delivered a strong start on the mound, throwing 2⅔ scoreless innings with six strikeouts. The offense was firing on all cylinders, collecting 13 hits, with Kyler Bednorz and Israel Smith recording three hits each and Soren Campbell adding two hits. Thunder also showed patience at the plate with eight walks, while the defense played clean baseball with no errors, highlighted by Hayden Crossland making five defensive plays in a complete team win.

Overall it was a great night for Thunder Baseball as the boys across all 3 teams continue to show growth, teamwork, and the commitment that makes Thunder Baseball special, as they play for something bigger than themselves. We’re proud of the effort and teamwork on display and look forward to the next time they take the field.
